  • Army Fulfills Urgent Need of Blood at Jaffna Teaching Hospital

     
    At the request of the Jaffna Teaching Hospital authorities, the Security Forces Headquarters - Jaffna on Friday (02) organized a blood donation campaign to fulfill requirements of the hospital Blood Bank. It was organized by the troops of 23 Gajaba Regiment, serving in Jaffna, when the Jaffna Blood Bank ran short of blood required by the patients waiting to undergo urgent surgeries.

    The Shanthi Community Animation Movement recently funded the establishment of the pre-school ‘Blooming Flowers’ in newly-resettled Kombavil area, following labour support provided by the 11 Sri Lanka Artillery and 682 Brigade troops.
