  • Visiting Australian Delegation Visits Kilinochchi

    Reconstruction and development work, being pursued by Army troops in Kilinochchi and its suburbs, came in for praise of a visiting Australian delegation when they paid a visit to the Security Forces Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) on Tuesday (29). The delegation comprised Mrs Julie Bishop, Deputy Opposition Leader and shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade and a few of her parliamentary colleagues.

  • Pawakkulam Villagers Get Army Medical Assistance

    The Civil-Coordination office of the 211 Brigade Vavuniya in liaison with FRIDSRO organization of Bokkawela, organized a medical and dental clinic at remote Pawakkulam Unit 2 village on Tuesday (29). The clinic, organized under the able guidance of the Security Force Commander Wanni, Major General M. H. S. B. Perera and the 211 Brigade Commander Colonel M. K. S. Silva, drew over 300 civilians who otherwise had to travel a long distance from their homes to seek medical assistance.
