Major General K.M.P.S.B Kulatunga RSP ndc psc, Commander, Security Forces (Wanni), conducted a field visit on 24 June 2025 to inspect preparations for the 74th Upasampadā Ceremony of the Sri Lanka Rāmañña Maha Nikāya, scheduled to be held from 30 June to 06 July 2025 at Viddhayādara Temple, Galnewa.
The Sri Lanka Army is extending its support by renovating key religious sites, including Valukarama Temple, Wijithapura Sri Punyawardanārāmaya Temple, and Viddhayādara Pirivena. Parabolic huts, logistical support, kitchen equipment, living amenities, and meals for monks and devotees are also being facilitated.
During the visit, the Commander reviewed construction progress at key locations such as Galnewa Mahaweli Grounds and issued directives to ensure timely completion. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks participated in the visit.
