A Taekwondo training session was successfully conducted at the Army Physical Training School, Panagoda on 08 January 2026.The programme was conducted by United Kingdom instructors, with Grand Master Derek Sumner, Chief Instructor of the Living Well Taekwondo Academy, providing valuable technical, tactical and motivational exposure to Army Taekwondo athletes and coaches.
The programme focused on modern competition strategies, advanced sparring techniques and international training methodologies, significantly enhancing the professional development of the participants. The event was conducted under the guidance of Major General H.H.K.S.S. Hewage RWP RSP USP reds psc, Chairman of the Army Taekwondo Committee.
