  • Art Competition Held to Mark National Drug Prevention Month


    To be in line with drug prevention & awareness month, Directorate of Psychological Operations on Wednesday (28) conducted an art competition on the topic of ‘Society Free of Smoking’ at the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN). Lance Corporal T.S Thilakarathne of  7 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) whose painting was selected as the best painting received a cash prize worth of Rs. 50,000/= out of 109 paintings submitted to the competition.
  • Japanese Scholars Arrive at SFHQ-MLT


    Professor N.S Coory, together with 14 university students from a Japanese university visited the Security Force Headquarters-Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) on Friday (28). After a warm welcome, the visiting students were enlightened on Mullaittivu area and its present situation by Brigadier N.M Hettiaarachchi, Brigadier General Staff at the SFHQ-MLT.

  • Central Troops Engage in Social Service Projects


    Troops of the Security Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) carried out several welfare projects for the well-being of soldiers and civilians in the past week.  Troops of the 122 Brigade of the Security Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) on Thursday (27) gave their contribution to the blood donation campaign, organized by Koonwalana Grama Niladari Welfare Association and the Forest Conservation Officers’ Welfare Association, Thissamaharama.
     
  • 3 SLSR & 1 SLRC Troops Engage in Welfare & Religious Activities


    Troops of 3 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) serving the 112 Brigade of the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) organized a religious programme on account of Nikini Fullmoon Poyaday at the Sangamiththa Meditation Center, Nuwara Eliya.
     
     
  • 'Defence Seminar' Live Webcast Screened at SFHQs


    Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN), Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C), Security Force Headquarters – West (SFHQ-West) and  Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W), on the directions of the Commander of the Army made arrangements to screen live proceedings in the ‘Defence Seminar-2015’ which was held at Hotel Galadari during 1-2 September.

  • Commander's Initiative Gets 35 More New Houses to 'Ranaviru' Families


    35 new houses, erected by 18 Regiments of the Sri Lanka Army, following a conceptual initiative of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Crishanthe De Silva are to be formally handed over to families of fallen War Heroes and a selected group of disable War Heroes during ceremonies to be held at the end of September 2015.
