Central Troops Engage in Social Service Projects


Troops of the Security Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) carried out several welfare projects for the well-being of soldiers and civilians in the past week.

 Troops of the 122 Brigade of the Security Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) on Thursday (27) gave their contribution to the blood donation campaign, organized by Koonwalana Grama Niladari Welfare Association and the Forest Conservation Officers’ Welfare Association, Thissamaharama.

A large number of troops serving the 122 Brigade contributed to the blood donation campaign at the request made by Koonwalana Forest Investigation Officers’ Welfare Association, Thissamaharama.

Moreover, troops serving the 122 Brigade on Wednesday (2) renovated the Deberawewa National Hospital at the request of civilians in the area since the building was old. This was initiated on the directives of Colonel K.H.K Kottawatte, 122 Brigade Commander.

On Wednesday (3) a workshop on ‘Mental Concentration’ took place at the Volunteer Force Training School (VFTS) auditorium with the participation of more than 85 Army personnel who are serving the SFHQ-C. The VFTS with the intention of supporting the conduct of a contended life.

Major S.H.M.K Herath, Training Instructor at the VFTS largely focused on management of civil and military life, conduct of civil relations in a successful life during the workshop.
