  • Mobile Eye Clinics in Mannar Treat Over 600 Civilians


    In the wake of fast spreading eye infection in the Mannar District, 54 Division Headquarters in cooperation with the office of Mannar District Health Services organized mobile eye clinics at several places. Those mobile clinics at Vidathalathivu St James Church, Iluppukadavai School, Pandivettuvan School, and Pesalai Provincial Hospital treated more than 600 patients and provided them with medicine.....

    To go hand in hand with the ongoing de-mining projects in several 55 Division areas in Vettalkerny, Jaffna, the 552 Brigade Headquarters in consultation with education authorities took steps recently to conduct a series of seminars on ‘Mine Risk Education Programme’ in a few schools in the area.

    Sri Lanka Army troops serving the Security Forces Headquarters, South (SFHQ-S) joined hands together with the officials of the Medical Officer of Health (MOH) office at Homagama and Homagama Pradeshiya Sabhawa for eradication of fast spreading Dengue epidemic in the area after launching an inspection project.

    A brief ceremony, held at 57 Division Headquarters, Kilinochchi on Monday (21) declared opened the new mess hall for Warrant Officers / Sergeants serving the Headquarters. This new building, a long-felt need in the Headquarters premises, was made possible due to support the 57 Division Headquarters received from various sectors.
