  • Vellamkulam Boys & Girls Get Employment in Army Farm


    Sri Lanka Army-run Vellamkulam farm recently recruited four unemployed boys and fifteen girls under the militarized civilians category for work in it with salaries in the range of Rs 25,000 – 30,000. Those employees who began work under the 6 Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC) after recruitment, were all from Vellamkulam area in Kilinochchi.

    Security Force Headquarters-Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN), together with Hayleys Pvt Ltd organized one-day workshop for Army personnel serving in different Battalions, Brigades and Divisions in SFHQ-KLN on Gherkin cultivation in the areas following an initiative of Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, SFHQ-KLN.The main intention of the awareness programme is to provide knowledge to Army personnel for motivation of civilians in the area so that they could make a living.
