Sri Lanka Army-run Vellamkulam farm recently recruited four unemployed boys and fifteen girls under the militarized civilians category for work in it with salaries in the range of Rs 25,000 – 30,000.
Those employees who began work under the 6 Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC) after recruitment, were all from Vellamkulam area in Kilinochchi.
Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment troops of the 651 Brigade succeeded in mobilizing these youngsters for recruitment with the assistance of Grama Seva officials in respective areas.
