Troops of the 62 Division under the Security Force Headquarters-Wanni (SFHQ-W) distributed dry ration packs, donated by Mr Kaushal Beddegama, Managing Director, Candy Planet in Battaramulla among 370 low-income group families in Veherathenna, Kambiliwewa, Koonwewa, Weherawewa and Kohombagaswewa on Saturday (10).
On the same occasion, 175 children belonging to those families were treated to delicious candies, provided by the donor to the Army for distribution.
Several senior officers attended the occasion.
