    Bank of Ceylon (BoC), in response to a requirement projected by the (V) Security Forces Headquarters, South recently installed an ATM machine inside the Panagoda Army Cantonment premises for use of Army personnel.   • Army Initiated Project Gives Mankendy Families with Solar Power Generated Electricity


    The remote Mankendy village in the 611 Brigade area under Madu Divisional Secretariat in the 61 Division Headquarters had a surprise on Wednesday (25) when 43 families were gifted with solar power operated electricity generating circuit, thanks to patronage of Jaffna-based ‘Gods Own Children Foundation’ with the coordination of the ‘New Dawn Energy Solutions’ Company Limited.
     
  • 68 Div & 683 Brigade Construct School Buildings & Conduct Mobile Clinic


    Generosity of the prefects (2011/2012) at St Peter’s College Colombo resulted in the donation of a new class room to the Roman Catholic School at Iranapalai, Puthukkudirippu. Troops serving 68 Division commanded by Brigadier K.J Wijetilleke, General Officer Commanding constructed the new class room building which remained a long-felt need.

    Mannar based 54 Division Headquarters under the guidance of the Security Forces Headquarters, Wanni (SFHQ-W) organized several mammoth Sinhala and Hindu New Year festivals for all civilians, resident in the whole of Mannar District, following directions, given by Brigadier M.A.M Dias, General Officer Commanding, 54 Division.
