  • Kandy Hospital Ward Colourwashed

     
    Troops  at 2 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR), deployed in Kandy under the 111 Brigade of 11 Division under the Security Force Headquarters (SFHQ-C), on Friday (13) conducted a ‘Sharamadana’ and colourwashed  the Ward No. 28 at the General Hospital, Kandy. 30 Soldiers with 1 officer attended the project at the request of Hon Tikiri Kobbekaduwa, Governor for Central Province.

  • Clinic on Cardiac Ailments Receive Asiri Hospital Patronage

     
    In order to provide humanitarian assistance, the Security Force Headquarters-West (SFHQ-West) earlier this week organized a medical clinic on Cardiac ailments for the benefit of the people in Uda Walawe area with patronage, received from Asiri Hospital (Pvt) Limited at Uda Walawe Maha Vidyalaya.

  • Soldier Involved in Alleged Molestation Act To Be Expelled If Proven Guilty


    Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) at Army Headquarters have been directed to immediately commence investigations into the conduct of a soldier in Mangalaeliya area in Puttalum over his involvement in an alleged sexual misconduct with a girl in the area. On being informed, the Commander of the Army has directed the Provost Marshal of the SLCMP to cooperate with the area Police and initiate parallel investigations into the case with immediate effect.

  • SFHQ-MLT Initiates Sewing Training for New Garment Industry Openings


    A training centre for sewing to potential 35 woman employees who had been selected to work in the proposed Hirdaramani apparel factory at Mullaittivu, was set up at the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) premises with the objective of supporting the proposed project.   • Army Rifle & Pistol Shooters Carry Championships


    Air Rifle and Pistol shooters of the Sri Lanka Army did extremely well in the recent National Shooting Sport Foundation (NSSF) of the Navy and carried away championships in both men and women’s categories (open meet). Organized by Sri Lanka Navy Small Arms Association, the event got underway at the firing range of the Naval Base, Welisara during June 9 - 15.
