    Mrs Nayana De Silva, the new President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) assumed office at the Army Headquarters on Wednesday (4) morning at the ASVU Headquarters during a brief ceremony that preceded religious observances, rites and rituals of all major faiths. Mrs De Silva on arrival was received by Mrs Sepali Samarasinghe, Vice President, ASVU, offering a bouquet of flowers. The former ASVU President, Mrs Damayanthi Rathnayake also attended the occasion.

  • SFHQ-KLN Coordinates UAE Cricket Club Donation to Children's Home


    Troops of the 7 Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA), serving the Security Forces Headquarters - Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN), organized a donation programme at Karunanilayam Children’s Home on Monday (2). The donation which saw 34 inmates at the Children’s Home were given school stationery and dry food items to the Home, was sponsored by the “City Star” Cricket Club of the United Arab Emirates.
