    “In the next three years, the Army is geared to bring all island-wide Army Training Institutes on par with international professional standards, enabling more and more foreign students to arrive here for military training. This is to be done with the raising of a separate Army Educational Corps with 100 instructors to match with varying foreign training streams as there is a growing demand for such openings here,” so said Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya, Commander of the Army.....

  • Young Officers After Completion of Military Studies Receive Their Diplomas From Commander

     
    Newly commissioned 73 officers, who followed the Diploma in Military Studies course Nos 67, 69, 69 A and 71 at Diyatalawa Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) on Tuesday (30), accepted their diplomas from the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya who graced the glittering occasion as the Chief Guest. Those budding Officers who are now serving around the country at various formations had the rare chance of receiving their academic recognition of the Sabaragamuwa University.....
