Major General K.A.N Rasika Kumara ndc psc formally relinquished his duties as the 16th Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineer Services (CES) on 17 January 2026 at the Regimental Headquarters.

The Special Infantry Operations Course is designed to enhance soldiers’ endurance, strategic thinking, and small-team operational capabilities.
A programme to distribute 200 dry ration packs and 100 school bags to school children of 200 selected needy families was conducted by the 22 Infantry Division, on 19 January 2026 at Arfath Muslim School, Pulmoddai.
