A preliminary awareness lecture on the Warriorpreneurship Programme, organised under the visionary leadership of Major General K.P. Aruna Jayasekara (Retd) WWV RSP VSV USP ndc psc, Honourable Deputy Minister of Defence, was held in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, at the Army Headquarters on 11 February 2026.

The troops of the 55 Infantry Division conducted a blood donation campaign on 04 February 2026 in line with the 78th National Independence Day at the Blood Transfusion Centre of the District Hospital, Kilinochchi, in collaboration with the Kilinochchi Red Cross Society and the Northern Province People’s Rights Protection Organization.
Celebrations In parallel with the 78th Independence Day celebrations, the 521 Infantry Brigade organised a blood donation programme on 06 February 2026 with the objective of supporting the urgent blood requirement of the Point Pedro Base Hospital.The programme was conducted at the request of the Blood Bank of the Point Pedro Base Hospital under the instructions of the 52 Infantry Division.
