The Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers arranged a formal farewell ceremony to bid farewell to Major General K.A.N. Rasika Kumara ndc psc with military honours and greetings on 18 January 2026 at the Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Engineers.
In accordance with military traditions, the day’s proceedings commenced with a Guard Turnout followed by a Guard of Honour. In line with farewell formalities, a tea reception and a Farewell Dinner Night were hosted in honour of the retiring Senior Officer. During the dinner, Major General D.K.S.K. Dolage USP nps psc, Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers, delivered the farewell note, acknowledging the exceptional service rendered by the Senior Officer.
In his response, Major General K.A.N. Rasika Kumara ndc psc expressed his appreciation to the Colonel Commandant, all Ranks of the Corps and members of the Sri Lanka Engineers Seva Vanitha Branch for the unwavering support and camaraderie extended throughout his tour of duty in the Sri Lanka Army.
