    A MEDICAL CLINIC to treat IDP families re-settled in Kanakarayankulam area in the North was organized by 56 Division troops on 14th March 2010 at Kanakarayankulam Maha Vidyalaya.   • Govt Allocates Rs 100 m for Northern Schools

    THE GOVERNMENT has allocated Rs100 million to construct school buildings in the Northern Province under the Uthuru Vasanthaya (Northern Spring) project. Construction of 23 school buildings have been completed. Northern Province Governor Major General G.A. Chandrasiri said after 180 days of the Uthuru Vasanthaya program, around 23 school buildings were completed in the Jaffna Peninsula. “Senior Presidential Advisor Basil Rajapaksa who is also the Northern Development Presidential Task Force Chairman has allocated Rs 100 million to build school buildings,” he said.
