Student Officers at the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) Sapugaskanda, Sri Lanka’s highest seat of learning for Defence Services personnel, had the rare opportunity of listening to a lecture of the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya this morning (29). The students belonging to all three forces inclusive of a few Officers from other foreign Armies listened to this lecture as a part of their training for Passed Staff College qualification (psc) at the DSCSC.

Soldiers of 53 Division of Sri Lanka Army in Kilinochchi on the instructions of the General Officer Commanding Major General K. A. D. A. Karunasekara recently constructed a set of lavatories for the use of pilgrims at Lumbini Viharaya, the Buddhist Temple in Kilinochchi. Another 30 Rehabilitees successfully completed the motor mechanic training course facilitated by David Pieris Motor Company.
