Soldiers Construct Public Utilities in Kilinochchi Temple

Soldiers of 53 Division of Sri Lanka Army in Kilinochchi on the instructions of the General Officer Commanding Major General K. A. D. A. Karunasekara recently constructed a set of lavatories for the use of pilgrims at Lumbini Viharaya, the Buddhist Temple in Kilinochchi. This temple was in a devastated state when the soldiers liberated it during the humanitarian operation from the ruthless LTTE terrorists.

‘Meth Saviya’ Project under the able leadership of Dr. Chandana Jayarathne provided the monetary assistance for this construction.
