One more Seva Vanitha Army Branch (SVAB) managed pre-school in the Southern capital, Galle had its annual concert this morning (3) with Mrs Kumari Balasooriya, Governor for Southern Province and Mrs Manjulika Jayasuriya, President SVAB in attendance.
Those kids at Viru Kekulu pre-school in Galle, had their day, replete with a number playful skills, fun-making and artistic talents.
Mrs Kumari Balasooriya, who took a special interest in the SVAB programme in the pre-school as Chief Guest on the occasion at the invitation of Mrs Manjulika Jayasuriya, was received warmly on arrival at the venue.
Many senior SVAB members including Mrs Rani Jayatilake who attended the event were impressed with the series of the items on the agenda. The day’s show provided amusement for more than four hours to the spectators reciprocated giving thundering rounds of applause.
Parents, next of kin of the kids, invitees, Army Officers and a gathering of SVAB members enjoyed the colourful concert.
A little girl at the pre-school received the Chief Guest with a bouquet of flowers. Thereafter, distinguished invitees lit the traditional oil lamp with several others marking the inauguration of the concert.
