    Troops of the 22 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) serving the 112 Brigade of the Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) on account of the International Children’s Day and Elders’ Day provided a sumptuous lunch to the school students at Lakshapana Maha Vidyalaya on Wednesday (1).     The Army Christian Fellowship, representing all schools of Christian faith in the Army, as has been the practice for many years, organized a Special Mass on Tuesday (7) evening at the All Saints Church, Borella with the objective of invoking blessings on the forthcoming 65th Army Anniversary and the Army Day (October 10).
  • Risking Own Lives, Two War Heroes Rescue Infant, Sivakumar Sindujan from Agrarian Well in Kilinochchi

     
     
    In spite of grave risks, posed to their own lives, two War Heroes of the 3 Gajaba Regiment of the 574 Brigade of the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi, in what could be considered as an adventure of the highest nature and incredibility,  rescued the precious life of the one and half year old infant, Sivakumar Sindujan who fell into an agrarian well (vaga linda) of 25 ft deep in the general area of Mankulam in Kilinochchi, hours after the International Children's Day was over in the area.

  • East Based Troops Celebrate World Children's Day


    Security Force Headquarters-East (SFHQ-E) organized an educational trip to Shallativu beach for 65 students and 8 teachers of Rahunuketa Vidyalaya to mark the World Children’s Day on Wednesday (1). 23 Army personnel participated in the administration duties during the educational visit and they provided foods and gifts to the picnic-goers.
