Major General P.U.S Vithanage, Commander Security Force Headquarters-Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) visited the 591 and the 592 Brigades where he was warmly received by respective Brigade Commanders on arrival at those premises on Tuesday (14). 
Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) officers and other rankers who turned athletes for the three-day long ‘Inter Regiment Athletic Championship Tournament - 2015’ that got off on Tuesday (14) at Diyagama Stadium, Diyagama, finished their year’s pinnacle of pride with a number of new athletic records on Thursday (16) evening amid rousing enthusiasm.
The Army managed ‘Laya Leisure’ Resort in Kukuleganga commenced a refurbishment and renovation project in order to be compatible with competitive standards available elsewhere for local and foreign tourists on Friday(17). Adjutant General, Major General Mahinda Hathurusinghe, Chief Executive Officer, Board of Management graced the occasion as the Chief Guest for launch of the renovation project.
Troops of the 20 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) of the Security Force Headquarters-Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) assisted the renovation of the Murugan Kovil in Sinnapullawarayankattu area and was reopened to the devotees on Thursday (16).

‘Ranaviru Real Star - Mission V’, the world’s one and only reality show of the Armed Forces, showcasing inalienable musical talents of the War Heroes, was launched with a new dimension in an event held at Hotel Ramada on Friday(17) evening. A refresher course conducted by the Security Force Headquarters-Wanni (SFHQ-W) for the officers in the SFHQ-W area who are to sit the Defence Services Command and Staff Course at the Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC), Sapugaskanda concluded on Friday (17) at the lecture hall, Officers Mess, SFHQ-W.
