One more batch of Army personnel about to go on retirement after their period of service in the Army underwent vocational training programmes during January 19 - July, 2015 at the Non Commissioned Officers’ Training School (NCOTS), Kalaoya.
76 Army personnel who are about to retire after 22 years of service in the Army under this scheme received training in the spheres of Rubber product manufacturing, Science of laying power cables (domestic), Aluminum fabricating process, Building construction, industrial water pipe, welding, plumbing, etc.
Those who successfully completed above courses received their certificates of proficiency on Thursday (16) during a brief ceremony, attended by Commandant, NCOTS, Brigadier K.D.C.G.J Thilakaratne, Mr W.J Wijerathna, Deputy Director, Sri Lanka Vocational Training Center (VTC), Anuradhapura. Mr C.B Wijedasa, Regional Head of the, (VTC), Anuradhapura, Course Instructors and several other invitees.
