Troops serving at the 112 Brigade engaged in another admirable task to enhance the harmony and Cooperation between Army and civil society with the assistance of Civilians in the Passara area in Baddulla on Sunday (12). Troops renovated the temple at the Viryaura Meditation Center, Passara and built up a stone wall to preserve the temple. Civilians in the area together with several inmates at Baddula prison also joined their hands with troops to make this task a success.

The 24th Death Anniversary of Corporal Gamini Kularathne of 6th Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment(SLSR), known to the general public as ‘Hasalaka Gamini’ who made the supreme sacrifice to save his comrades from the siege at Elephant Pass Camp, took place on Tuesday(14) at a ceremony, held at Hasalaka Gamini Memorial at Elephant Pass.
