  • President Lauds Roles & Responsibilities of Armed Forces


    “Unlike state employees who usually perform duties within limited hours, Sri Lanka Army and other services, considering country and the nation as priorities, sacrifice not only their knowledge, experience, time and understanding for the sake of the motherland, but also their precious lives which another state officer would not be able to do,” so said President Maithripala  Sirisena, addressing the newly passed out graduates at the Sri Lanka Military Academy in Diyatalawa on Saturday (27). 
  • Inauguration of the Refresher Course of the DSCSC Examination


    Eight officers serving at the Security Force Headquarters- Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) attended the inauguration ceremony of a refresher course for the selection examination of the Defence Service Command & Staff College (DSCSC) on Monday (29) at the SFHQ-KLN auditorium. The course organized by SFHQ-KLN will be conducted for 20 days.

  • Musical Show Entertains Kilinochchi People


    19 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) troops at the Security Force Headquarters-Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) organized a musical evening at the Open Theater in the Harmony Center, Kilinochchi on Saturday (27). More than 100 civilians enjoyed songs sung in both Tamil and Sinhala. The music was provided by the “Wagoners” band of the Army.


  • Several Welfare Projects Launched


    Several formations under the Security Force Headquarters-East (SFHQ-E) carried out several Welfare Projects during June 25-26. 231 Brigade troops under the 23 Division organized a Blood Donation Campaign at the 231 Brigade Headquarters in Kallady on 25 June. A total of 98 Army personnel attended this event and offered blood. 



  • SLAOC Officers' Training Day Held


    As per instructions given by the Commander of the Army to conduct an Officers’ Training Day quarterly, Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC) troops held their inaugural Officers’ Training Day on 24 June at the Regimental Headquarters(RHQ) SLAOC under the supervision of Major General R.V. Udawatte, Colonel Commandant, SLAOC.
  • Newly Appointed Diplomats Visit SFHQ-W


    A group of newly-appointed Ambassadors and High Commissioners for Sri Lanka visited the Security Force Headquarters-Wanni on Monday (29) as a part of their orientation programme to receive a first-hand experience. Major General Boniface Perera, Commander, SFHQ-W welcomed the 22- member delegation on arrival at the SFHQ-W premises.
  • SFHQ-KLN Marks 6th Anniversary


    Security Force Headquarters-Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) marked its 6th Anniversary with a series of programmes on the directions of Major General Sudantha Ranasinghe, Commander, SFHQ-KLN. The Anniversary programme commenced with religious activities on 20 June with an all night pirith chanting ceremony.....
