As per instructions given by the Commander of the Army to conduct an Officers’ Training Day quarterly, Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC) troops held their inaugural Officers’ Training Day on 24 June at the Regimental Headquarters(RHQ) SLAOC under the supervision of Major General R.V. Udawatte, Colonel Commandant, SLAOC.
The Training Day commenced with several rounds of Physical Training and Drill sessions. Afterwards, a workshop on “Globalization and supply chain management and revisiting techniques of productivity improvements” was held at the Officers’ Mess, RHQ SLAOC.
Professor H.D. Karunarathna, Head of Department, Business Economics Faculty of Management & Finance, University of Colombo and senior consultant Mr. Prasad Jayasuriya conducted the workshop and lectures.
The day’s proceedings culminated with a Diner’s Club meeting held at the Officers’ Mess, RHQ SLAOC. Colonel M.P. Karunarathne conducted the Diner’s Club lecture on “ISIS Activities”.
