  • Fourth Computer Course at SFHQ-West Ends


    The fourth phase of the Security Force Headquarters - West (SFHQ-West) organized Computer Course with the motive of further expanding knowledge on Information Technology (IT) among troops serving the SFHQ-West, reached its successful completion on Thursday (25) at the SFHQ-West library premises. 20 other rankers followed the 25-day long course organized by the SFHQ-West with the support of ‘Future Step IT Solution Pvt Ltd’.
  • 10 Year Old Girl Rescued from a Well While Drowning


    A ten-year old Tamil school girl was rescued by  troops of the 20 Gemunu Watch (GW) of the 59 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu on Thursday (25) morning  in spite grave risks, posed to their own lives when she accidentally fell into a well at Keppapilavi Maha Vidyalaya in the general area of Keppapilavi, Mullaittivu. This incident happened while the troops of 20 GW troops were engaged in a house constructing project launched in the area.

    31 more other ranks who completed a 2-month long English course at the Security Force Headquarters- Killinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) received certificates in their closing ceremony on Saturday (27) at the SFHQ-KLN auditorium.
