  • Remaining SRIBAT troops in Haiti Construct Children's Park


    Remaining troops of the 20th Sri Lanka Peace Keeping contingent (SRIBAT) of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) who have already wrapped up duties and set for return declared open a Children’s park at Leogane City on 15 June as a welfare project to the people there. The Children’s Park was funded by the United Nations Welfare Fund and the construction was completed by the SRIBAT troops.

  • 61 Division Celebrates 7th Anniversary

     
    61 Division Headquarters of the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W) celebrated its 7th anniversary with a series of programmes during May 29 - 30 under the directions of Brigadier W.A. Wanniarachchi, General Officer Commanding, 61 Division. To coincide with the anniversary, a foundation stone for a new main office complex was laid on 29 May by the General Officer Commanding.....

  • Uva Province Commemorates War Heroes


    The Ranaviru Commemorative ceremony in the Uva Province was held at the War Heroes Monument in Badulla on Saturday (20) in parallel with the National Ranaviru Commemoration month. Mr. M.P. Jayasinghe, the Governor of Uva Province graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest. Mr. Jayasinghe, together with Mrs Anoma Fonseka, Chairperson, Ranaviru Seva Authority and Major General D.S.N.K. Senadheera, General Officer Commanding, 11 Division paid floral tributes to the monument.
