  • Tamil Woman Recruitment Programme On


    One more round to enlist Tamil woman recruits of the north to the Sri Lanka Army Women’s Corps (SLAWC), is now on in Mullaittivu district through respective Divisional Secretariats in the district. By Tuesday (4) afternoon, out of about 60 applicants who showed up for the first round of the interviews, the SLAWC succeeded in selecting about 20, eligible applicants for recruitment.

  • All Involved in Padukka Cash & Jewellery Robbery Suspended from Service


    Sri Lanka Army with immediate effect has suspended the services of all three Army personnel (one officer and two soldiers), arrested and subsequently detained for alleged involvement in a robbery of cash and jewellery from a shop in Padukka.
