  • A Mobile Medical Clinic & Awareness Programme on Agriculture Launched in Wanni


    A mobile medical clinic was organized by the 611 Brigade, 61 Division of the Security Force Headquarters-Wanni in cooperation with Asiri Hospital, Colombo 5 at Thawsiyakulam GTMS School, Ichchankulam last week. Around 450 patients, suffering from diseases, like cardiac ailments, diabetes, blood pressure, obesity, etc were treated by medical officers, including the Specialist Cardiologist, Dr Vivek Guptha from India.

  • Religious Activities Marked 11th Anniversary


    The Security Force Headquarters –East (SFHQ-E) marked its anniversary with series of  religious and formal activities, following a  pooja at the Dewalaya –Minneriya, on Saturday (25), under the patronage of the Commander, SFHQ-E. A colourful procession prior to the Pirith chanting ceremony was concluded with an alms giving on Sunday (26). Further, a blood donation campaign was held on Tuesday (28).

  • NCOs School Responds to Anuradhapura Blood Bank's Request for Blood


    In response to the request of the Anuradhapura Blood Bank, Non- Commissioned Officers’ (NCOs) Training School at Kalaoya, Saliyawewa, organized a blood donation campaign on Friday (31) to be in parallel with the most recent  Sri Lanka Army’s 65th Anniversary.   • Various Social Service Projects Launched in the East


    Troops of 221,231 and 242 Brigades, under 22, 23 and 24 Divisions in the Security Force Headquarters East (SFHQ-E) recently carried out various community projects for the benefit of civilians. An Eye Clinic, held at Ampara  screened 319 students of several schools in the area and prescribed medicine and other remedial measures to the children with eye ailments and poor vision.........
