    Sri Lanka Army’s most novel project, ‘4 x 4 Expedition 2014’ - ‘Experience Sri Lanka with Commandos’, that covered a distance of 720 km along the eastern coastal belt, commencing from Jaffna on August 3, ended on Saturday (9) on a triumphant note after reaching Kudaoya Commando Training School.

  • Sri Lanka Army Turning a New Page in UN Peace-Keeping Opens New Hospital in South Sudan


    The Sri Lanka Army, taking its increased and matured professionalism to foreign shores with an urgent medical project at the request of the UN, succeeded in establishing its first-ever SRIMED Level 2 Hospital in Bor, South Sudan under the UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) which has been reportedly hailed as ‘one of the fastest and well-planned projects ever seen in Mission Director’s entire UN career’.
     
  • East Based Troops Conduct More Community Services


    Troops of 11 Sri Lanka Artillery (SLA) in 232 Brigade of 23 Division under the Security Force Headquarters East (SFHQ-E) conducted a Dengue prevention campaign by clearing the surroundings at Bogamuyaya village on Friday (1). Meanwhile, they organized a ‘Shramadana’ campaign to repair the ‘Stupa’ at Henanigala Temple on Sunday (3).
