  • Army Weight-Lifting Champions (Men) Produce New Sri Lankan Record


    Sri Lanka Army weight-lifting team (men) emerged the overall champions and produced a new Sri Lankan record in the 56 kg weight category during the recent (Feb 09-10) National Weight-Lifting Tournament - 2012 (men and women) at Polonnaruwa Royal College auditorium. This was the 46th Weight-Lifting Championship Tournament. Corporal C.S.S. Wijesooriya of 2nd Battalion Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps secured a Gold in the tournament and produced a new Sri Lankan record after lifting 106 kg.....
