  • Wanni Commander Talks to 561 Brigade Troops


    Major General Boniface Perera, Commander, Security Forces Headquarters, Wanni (SFHQ-W) recently made a formal visit to the 561 Brigade Headquarters and areas coming under it.   • Lion Club Donated School Accessories Distributed Among Wanni Students


    School accessories and sports items, donated by Udahamulla Lions Club-306 C2 to the 61 Division Headquarters, Vellankulam under the Security Forces Headquarters-Wanni (SFHQ-W), were distributed among 201 students and 31 teachers on Tuesday (15) during a ceremony at 26 Sri Lanka Light Infantry camp at Periyamadu.   • SFHQ-West Troops Respond to Threats of Floods, Landslides & Dengue


    Troops serving the Security Forces Headquarters-West (SFHQ-West) provided meals to flood-affected Walpolakanda North displaced people, now housed at Walpolakanda Poshanaramaya in Kurunegala district. A total of 54 people of 17 families affected badly with landslides and floods in Walpolakanda North thus received meals on the instructions of the 143 Brigade headquarters.
  • NGO Donated Fishing Nets Distributed Among Fisherfolk


    A stock of fishing nets, donated by the north based ‘Friends’, a non governmental organization were distributed among newly-resettled civilians in Senthankulam, Naguleshwaram fishing hamlets. Troops of the 515 Brigade at Kankasanthurai organized the distribution of those 17 fishing nets, each worth about Rs 35,000/= among members of the fishing community.

    A group of 39 trainee cadet officers at Diyatalawa Sri Lanka Military Academy visited the Security Forces Headquarters, Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) on a familiarization tour on Thursday (17).
