  • Fallen 3 SF War Heroes Remembered Conducting Marathon Race


    A 10 km-long friendly marathon run, organized by the Special Forces (SF) in memory of their fallen 3 SF comrades took place at Vavuniya with the participation of more than 250 runners. The ‘Warriors Memorial Run’ commenced from the 3 SF camp premises in Vavuniya covered a 10 km distance across Boo Oya area and returned to the SF camp at Vavuniya on December 30, 2012. The marathon run was contested under three age group categories; (over 40 years) (30 – 40 years) and (below 30 years).
