Culmination of the 3rd phase of Tamil Language Training Course and award of certificates and trophies to all those officers and other ranks who completed all previous Tamil Courses took place during a ceremony at Bharathipuram Advanced Infantry Training School at Kilinochchi on Thursday (3).
A total of 36 officers and 1448 other ranks, who followed Tamil Language Training Courses, organized by the Security Forces Headquarters – Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) on the instructions of its Commander, Major General Udaya Perera received their certificates and merit awards during the ceremony.
In the Course No 3, an officer of the 12 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) was adjudged the best and 27 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) battalion was selected as the best unit.
652 Brigade Headquarters and Forward Maintenance Area - Kilinochchi received accolades as the best Brigade Headquarters and the Best Division respectively.
Award ceremony was attended by Major General Udaya Perera, Commander, SFHQ-KLN, General Officers Commanding Divisions, Brigade Commanders, Unit Commanders and Kilinochchi District Medical Officer.
