  • Soldiers Offered New Year Essentials at Concessionary Rates

    The Army Directorate of Welfare, in collaboration with the Lak Salusala has made arrangements to provide Sinhala Hindu New Year festival requirements at concessionary rates to all the members of the Army. Cloths, ready made garments, footwear, doormats and several other locally produced essential items can be accordingly purchased by soldiers with a 10 percent discount at Lak Salusala after their requirements are projected to the Directorate of Army Welfare through their respective Regimental Centres.

  • Diyatalawa Prepared for Thrilling Fox Hill Super Cross - 2011

    All is set for this year’s Sri Lanka’s No. 1 Motor Sports event, ‘Fox Hill Super Cross’ that brings thousands of fans to the chilly garrison town, Diyatalawa, it was announced during a Media briefing on Thursday (31).
