The Army Directorate of Welfare, in collaboration with the Lak Salusala has made arrangements to provide Sinhala Hindu New Year festival requirements at concessionary rates to all the members of the Army.
Cloths, ready made garments, footwear, doormats and several other locally produced essential items can be accordingly purchased by soldiers with a 10 percent discount at Lak Salusala after their requirements are projected to the Directorate of Army Welfare through their respective Regimental Centres.
Once formalities are complete, those New Year requirements can be taken away from Lak Salusala branches in Nugegoda, Ratnapura, Kurunegala, Ampara, Angunakolapelessa, Badulla and Jawatta Road, Colombo 5.
Army soldiers under this scheme are eligible to purchase items to the value of Rs. 10,000/=.
