    4 SLNG Donates School Supplies to Needy Children

    4 Sri Lanka National Guard (4 SLNG) organized a donation programme to provide essential school accessories for needy children of Singithi Arunalu Preschool in Anuradapura. This event was organized with the support of Mr. Kamal Harishchandra and his family, who contributed school accessories worth Rs 80,000. Seven preschoolers were the beneficiaries of this donation.

    19 SLNG Troops Assist Buddhist Pilgrimage on Sri Pada

    Sixteen members of the Maha Sangha, led by Venerable Diyadora Mettananda Thero, Chief Incumbent of Kandeyaya Mettarama Temple, embarked on Sri Pada pilgrimage tour on 31 January 2024. Recognizing the challenging climb involved, 19 Sri Lanka National Guard (19 SLNG) troops readily offered their assistance. Six soldiers from the 19 SLNG actively supported the young monks throughout the journey, ensuring their safe and timely arrival at the summit.
