    An artificial limb donation programme for civilians in Mullaitivu area was held at 12 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment Headquarters premises on 18 December 2024 under the direction of Major General J.P.C Peiris RWP RSP ndc, Commander, Security Forces (Wanni) and the guidance of Major General D.R.N Hettiarachchi RWP RSP USP, General Officer Commanding of 59 Infantry Division in collaboration with Australian High Commission and Centre for Handicapped.

    20 SLSR Troops Restore Damaged Uva Kudaoya Mahara Tank Bund

    The troops of 20th Battalion of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (20 SLSR) restored the tank bund of Mahara Tank at Uva Kuda Oya which was slightly damaged due to adverse weather conditions on 17 December 2024 using sandbags.

    2 (V) VIR Assists in Clearing Fallen Tree at Thulana Sri Bhodirajaramaya

    A Bo Tree at Thulana Sri Bhodirajaramaya in Rambewa fell down due to heavy rain and strong winds, causing significant damage to a building within the temple premises. In response to a request from the Divisional Secretariat in Rambewa, the troops of the 2 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) promptly removed the fallen tree and cleared the area on 17 December 2024.

    The troops of the 19 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG), in collaboration with the Engineer Services Regiment, successfully completed the renovation of the Ambalama located in the Seethagangula area of the Sacred Sripadasthana Mountain Temple. The project was conducted under the guidance of Major H.G.K.H Gunarathne, Overlooking Commanding Officer of the 19 SLNG.
