Mr. Inoshan Suran, of Sri Lankan descent and currently residing in France, completed an extraordinary 10,000-kilometre cycling journey from Paris to Jaffna, covering 13 countries including Germany, Turkey, and India. Commencing his expedition on 1 September 2025, he successfully arrived in Jaffna on 23 October 2025.
An essential school supplies distribution programme, organised by the 242 Infantry Brigade of the 24 Infantry Division under the Security Forces (East), was successfully conducted on 24 October 2025 at Am/Panama Maha Vidyalaya.
The 7 Field Engineer Regiment (7 SLE) conducted an Explosive Ordnance Risk Awareness Programme for the villagers at the Serunuwara 215 F Welfare Community Centre on 19 October 2025. The programme was organised in response to a request made by the Grama Niladhari of the Serunuwara GN Division.
Troops of the 4th Battalion the Gemunu Watch, under the 232 Infantry Brigade of the 23 Infantry Division, constructed a new house for a low-income family at Komathurei North.

Under the direction of 51 Infantry Division and supervision of 513 Infantry Brigade, troops of the 11th Sri Lanka Light Infantry constructed and vested in a newly-built house to a needy family in Kareinagar on 10 October 2025 in line with 76th Army Anniversary.
Troops under command to the Security Force Headquarters (Wanni), in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Eye Donation Society, organized a a special Eye Clinic Programme on 02 October 2025, extending vital medical assistance to 364 underprivileged civilians suffering from visual impairments.
Troops of the Sri Lanka Army distributed school supplies to eighty children from needy families at the Karugampanai Community Centre on 27 September 2025.
As per the request made by the Past Pupils’ Association of the Blind School, Ratmalana, under the guidance of the Ministry of Defence and the instructions of the Commander of the Army, the Sri Lanka Army provided transport, accommodation facilities and food for the members of the Blind School during their special visit to the Jaffna area from 26 to 28 September 2025.
