A Hockey Team of the Pakistan Army, as part of the ongoing Army-to-Army Sports exchange programme arrived in Sri Lanka this evening (4) to participate in four friendly matches with their counterparts in the Sri Lanka Army.
The 20-member Pakistan team is due to challenge Sri Lankan team and Mercantile players at Astro Turf, Colombo and Edward Park at Matale during their stay in Sri Lanka.
Match schedule is as follows;
1. 6 December 2016 – Sri Lanka Army Vs Pakistan Army - Astro Turf – Colombo
2. 7 December 2016 – Mercantile Vs Pakistan Army - Astro Turf – Colombo
3. 9 December 2016 - Sri Lanka Army Vs Pakistan Army – Edward Park – Matale
4. 10 December 2016 - Sri Lanka Army Vs Pakistan Army (Grand Finale) - Astro Turf – Colombo
Representing the Chairman of the Army Hockey Committee, Colonel Lal Chandrasiri, Lieutenant Colonel Nalin Bandaranayake, Deputy Chairman of the Army Hockey committee and Lieutenant Colonel Lakruwan Pathirana were at the airport to receive the visitors.
