Pakistan Army Hockey Takes the Lead

Pakistan Army Hockey players Tuesday (6) evening beat their Sri Lanka Army counterparts during the first hockey match played in the ongoing Army-to-Army Sports exchange programme, held at Reid Avenue Astro Hockey Turf.

The Pakistan Army Hockey team scored 5- 2.

Tuesday’s first match was conducted under arrangements, made by the Sri Lanka Army Hockey Committee, chaired by Major General Shavendra Silva.

Major General Channa Goonetilleke, Deputy Chief of Staff attended as the Chief Guest in the inaugural friendly match.

The next encounter between the Pakistan Army team verses the Mercantile team will take place on Wednesday (7) at the Astro Turf – Colombo.
