The popular pre-school run by ‘Vijitha’ Sarvodaya self-help organization in Vijithapura, Trincomalee for the benefit of kids in low-income group families recently received a complete set of public address system that can be used for various purposes in the pre-school. The pre-school that conducts multiple projects like children’s sports events, educational and cultural programmes, religious observances, meetings, etc was all this time compelled to hire those technical equipment from the private sector at exorbitant cost and found it not any longer possible.

General Anuruddha Ratwatte (Rtd) who was also formally a Deputy Defence Minister passed away on Thursday (24). The funeral with military honours will take place at Kandy Bogambara grounds on Sunday, 27th November 2011 at 4.00 p.m.
Fulfilling a much-needed requirement of drinking water for troops serving the 23 Infantry Division in Poonany, steps were taken to drill and install a new tube well, worth over Rs 7 lakhs in the Headquarters premises.
