  • Civil Football Clubs Join Army-Organized Tournament


    Strengthening bonds of goodwill among civilians and military personnel, 552 Brigade with the blessings of Jaffna-based 55 Division for the second time launched an inter-sports club football tournament with the participation of 15 civil teams. The inauguration of the tournament took place on September 1, headed by 552 Brigade Commander who signalled the start of the games.      
  • Budding Football Players Given Training


    More than 150 budding football players in Vettalakerni area in 55 Division area of Jaffna received a two-day football coach training, headed by Sri Lanka Football Federation coaches, following coordination done by the 55 Division Headquarters. The training during Sept 5 - 6 at Udaththurai Senthamil ground provided football enthusiasts with necessary stimulus to play for the tournament that would begin later that week.

  • Troops Volunteer to Build a New House to a Disabled Rehabilitee


    Troops of 25 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) and 9 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment (SLSR) under 611 Brigade laid a foundation stone to build a new house to a disable female rehabilitee at Marakkarampali recently. Troops after learning economic hardships faced by Ms Singanandan Sinduja with her disability and the status of their existing house volunteered to attend to this noble cause.


  • 12 Division Troops Educated on Forest and Animal Protection


    Troops of 12 Division under the Security Force Headquarters Central (SF HQ –Cen) in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Forest Department recently conducted a programme to educate troops on wildlife and forest conservation.
