Secy Defence & Commander Participate in 'International Institute for Strategic Studies Asia Security Summit'
The ‘12th International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS) Asia Security Summit - The Shangri-La Dialogue’ that discussed a wide range of regional, global, strategic, technological, defensive and security-related issues, took place recently (May 31 - June 2) at the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore. Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Secretary Defence and Urban Development and Lieutenant General Jagath Jayasuriya, Commander of the Army represented Sri Lanka during the sessions that drew about 300 representatives from many corners of the world.
