  • 'Abimansala 3' Wellness Resort Dedicated to North Western Province War Heroes with Lifetime Injuries



    The newest wellness resort, ‘Abimansala 3’, erected through the ‘Brave Hearts’ project of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit at Pangolla for the lifelong care of 50 more dependent War Heroes, resident in the North-Western Province, was ceremonially inaugurated this afternoon (15) by its conceptual visionary, HE the President, Mahinda Rajapaksa as the Chief Guest at the invitation of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake who threw his full weight behind the fruition of the project.  
     
  • Army 'Searchlight Tattoo' Extended by One More Day

    The Army ‘Searchlight Tattoo’, now on at Welagedara Grounds at Kurunegala, has been extended by one more day, enabling school children in the area to watch it. The ‘Searchlight Tattoo’ were to end on Sunday (27) but due to popular demand it was extended by another day on the direction of the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake.

    Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) in collaboration with the Panagoda Sports Club staged a New Year festival at Panagoda Parakkrama Maha Vidyalaya grounds on Saturday (26). Graced by the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake as the Chief Guest during the latter part of the day’s event, the event attracted a huge crowd.........

  • 1 Signal Corps Cricket Team Wins SFHQ-MLT Cricket Cup


    Troops of all the Units, Brigades and Divisions, under the Security Force Headquarters, Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) with the intention of promoting fellowship and confidence organized a cricket tournament. 1 Sri Lanka Signal Corps (SLSC) and 4 Sri Lanka Light Infantry (SLLI) entered the final match though 23 teams participated in the tournament.

    The 21 member delegation of Pakistan National Defence University (NDU) who were recently in Sri Lanka headed by Major General Noel Israel Khokhar recently visited Jaffna peninsula. During the visit, the delegation arrived at the Security Forces Headquarters-Jaffna (SFHQ-J) and met Major General Udaya Perera, Commander, SFHQ-J.
