The ‘Sammabimani’ spiritual programme, conducted by Ven. Uduwe Dhammaloka Thero under the patronage of the Army with the purpose of enhancing moral values in the general public, got underway at Abayapura Maha Vidyalaya Puwakpitiya in Awissawela on Friday (2) and at Kaluthara Temple on Sunday (4). Many officers and other ranks of the Security Force Headquarters West and more than 16,500 devotees participated in the event.

Mawarale Bhaddiya Thero on account of Duruthu Full Moon Poya Day at the Army Temple (Bodhirajaramaya) in Panagoda on Sunday (4). More than 3000 members of the general public were present for the programme. 66 Division of the Security Force Headquarters–Killinochchi organized the conduct of a medical clinic for the people of Killinochchi area at Vannerikkulam, in order to promote the health condition of the civilians in their area on Saturday (3). This event was organized under the directions of the Commanding Officer of the 66 Division.
