  • Kandy Troops Clear Gully to Prevent Flooding Railway Station Area & Main Road for Transport


    Troops of the 2 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment serving 111 Brigade area rushed and prevented inevitable inundation of the surroundings, near Kandy Railway Station Monday (17) evening due to torrential rains. After troops found that a large canal by the railway station has got blocked with garbage dumps, preventing the flow of water uninterrupted. Troops attended to the clearing amidst downpour and let flooding waters recede without causing any damage.....

  • Taekwondo & IT Trainees in Wanni Receive Proficiency Certificates


    A total of twenty-five male and female soldiers, including one officer who followed a three-month long Taekwondo course at the Security Forces Headquarters-Wanni (SFHQ-W) received their proficiency certificates during a brief ceremony on Saturday (15), coupled with award of certificates to 30 soldiers who successfully completed an IT course at the 54 Division.
