  • SECOND COURSE ON -œGOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT OF DEFENCE- BEGINS

    A fortnight-long study course on “Governance and Management of Defence,” sponsored by British High Commission in Sri Lanka is now on at Hotel Galadari, Colombo. This is conducted in Sri Lanka for the second time after two years of its first one. It commenced on 07th February 2005and will go on for two weeks.

    LTTE Abducted Principal Returns After Detention LTTE ABDUCTED SCHOOL PRINCIPAL, attached to VALACHCHENAI Hindu College, Mr. MURUGARASU THAVARASA (56) on 04th February 2006 around 2.10 p.m. returned home after he was detained at KARADIYANARU LTTE camp for questioning after he was taken away by an LTTE cadre identified as ANBU.
